Writer. Creative director. Director. Cameraman. Sometimes producer. Rob Bagot is a many-hyphenated maker.
In his more than 20 years as a writer and creative director, he has led teams as small as 5 and as sprawling as one hundred and fifty. In this time, he has won more than 750 national, international and regional advertising awards.
Along the way he has worked for some of the world’s, most iconic brands — Apple, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Microsoft — and most noteworthy advertising agencies, including Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, McCann-Erickson, Eleven, Inc., and Ogilvy & Mather.
Ten years ago, as an extension of his creative direction, he began to write and direct all of his own films and commercials. Currently, Rob heads up Storymachine Films where he helps fast-growing startups articulate and express their brands through video storytelling.
Rob is a consummate reader, and, thanks (or no thanks) to COVID, has completed 75+ non-fiction books in the last 12 months. Probably the one and only thing he has in common with Albert Einstein is the simple belief that when you stop learning you start dying.
Rob lives in Corte Madera, with his wife Joy, his 8-year-old son Sterling, and their dog Lily, rabbit Belle and gecko Jeff.
